Terms & Conditions

All About Arb – Delivering Triple A Standards

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by All About Arboriculture (“we”, “us”, “our”) to our clients (“you”, “your”). By booking our services, you agree to the following:

1. Quotations & Pricing

1.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.

1.2 Prices are based on the information provided at the time of quoting. Any changes in scope, access, or unforeseen circumstances may result in additional charges.

1.3 All prices are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.

2. Booking & Cancellations

2.1 A booking will be confirmed only once you have accepted our quotation in writing (including by email).

2.2 We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may incur a charge of up to 50% of the quoted price.

3. Permissions & Legal Requirements

3.1 The client is responsible for ensuring that all necessary permissions, consents, or approvals (including but not limited to Tree Preservation Orders and Conservation Area restrictions) are obtained before work commences.

3.2 All About Arb accepts no liability for delays, fines, or enforcement action resulting from a failure to obtain such permissions.

4. Site Access & Conditions

4.1 You must ensure clear and safe access to the site for our team and equipment.

4.2 Any delays caused by restricted access or unsafe conditions may be subject to additional charges.

4.3 It is your responsibility to inform us of any underground services (e.g. utilities, drains) and overhead hazards (e.g. power lines).

5. Health & Safety

5.1 Safety is our priority. All work will be carried out in accordance with current Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.

5.2 For health and safety reasons, the client must ensure that no unauthorised persons, pets, or vehicles enter the work area while operations are underway.

5.3 If, at any time, our arborists consider that a tree or site condition poses an immediate danger to life, property, or our team, we reserve the right to suspend or cease work.

5.4 In such cases, you will remain liable for the full cost of the works undertaken to date, and for any costs reasonably incurred in preparing for or carrying out the work.

6. Dangerous Trees & Liability

6.1 If a tree is found to be structurally unsound, diseased, or otherwise hazardous during the works, we may advise alternative methods, additional works, or termination of the job.

6.2 Where work must be stopped due to a tree being deemed dangerous, the client remains liable to pay the agreed quoted amount, or a reasonable portion thereof reflecting the work and resources allocated.

6.3 We are not liable for any damage caused by a tree failing due to pre-existing defects or conditions beyond our control.

7. Completion & Variations

7.1 While every effort will be made to complete works as agreed, adverse weather, equipment failure, or unforeseen circumstances may cause unavoidable delays.

7.2 Any variations or additional works requested by the client outside the agreed quotation (including but not limited to stump grinding, waste disposal, emergency callouts, or additional clearance) will be chargeable at our standard rates.

8. Waste Removal & Ownership of Timber

8.1 Quotations will state whether timber, brash, and arisings are to be removed from site or left stacked.

8.2 Unless otherwise agreed, all arisings and timber remain the property of the client once work is complete.

8.3 If additional waste disposal is required outside of the agreed scope, extra charges may apply.

9. Property Protection

9.1 While every effort will be made to minimise disturbance, sawdust, twigs, and debris may extend beyond the immediate work area. Full clearance will only be provided if specified in the quotation.

9.2 We cannot accept liability for minor damage to lawns, flowerbeds, driveways, or surfaces caused by the movement of heavy machinery where prior warning has been given.

9.3 We are not responsible for damage to underground services, walls, fences, or property where their location has not been disclosed.

10. Insurance & Liability

10.1 We hold full Public Liability Insurance and Employers’ Liability Insurance.

10.2 Our liability is limited to the value of the works provided. We accept no responsibility for consequential losses.

11. Payment Terms

11.1 Payment is due within 24 hours of the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

11.2 If payment is not received within this time, we reserve the right to suspend further works and apply late payment charges.

11.3 Failure to make payment may result in legal proceedings being issued without further notice, and you will be liable for any costs incurred in recovering the debt, including interest, court fees, and legal costs.

11.4 All work remains the property of All About Arb until paid for in full.

12. Force Majeure

12.1 We will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, accidents, illness, fire, flood, or industrial disputes.

13. Complaints

13.1 Any concerns must be raised in writing within 7 days of completion of works.

13.2 We will make all reasonable efforts to resolve complaints quickly and fairly.

14. Governing Law

14.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

14.2 Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
